Rutger van Thiel is a Dutch national and CEO of Alkion Terminals, member of the Board at
Alkion and partner at Coloured Finches, shareholder together with Infravia Capital
Partners in Alkion.

He has over 30 years of experience in the energy downstream industry in various
leadership positions across the globe, specifically in storage and handling of bulk liquids
and gasses.

Following his MBA Rutger started his career with Dutch Vopak and gained valuable
hands-on experience in various management roles. As former CEO of the German
Oiltanking group he was responsible for the world’s second largest tank storage provider.
