Sustainable Partnership: Suttons Tankers and Nippon Gases UKI Launch HVO Trial to Reduce Carbon Emissions
- 23/09/2024
Suttons Tankers and Nippon Gases UKI, part of Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation, have launched a three-month trial of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) fuel. This collaboration aims to significantly reduce carbon emissions across Nippon Gases’ logistics operations, furthering the companies’ shared commitment to sustainability.
Building on Success
Following a successful HVO trial last year, which saw Suttons Tankers reduce carbon emissions by 80% across selected vehicles, the company is now extending its efforts in partnership with Nippon Gases UKI. Together, they are exploring the broader benefits of using HVO fuel in their logistics operations.
About HVO Fuel
HVO is a renewable diesel alternative made from used cooking oil and waste feedstocks. It can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90% compared to traditional diesel, making it a powerful solution for companies looking to lower their environmental impact.
A Step Towards a Sustainable Future
By testing HVO fuel, Suttons Tankers and Nippon Gases UKI are taking proactive steps to reduce their carbon footprint and lead the way in sustainable logistics. This trial represents a key milestone in their long-standing relationship and shared vision for a greener future.
