The deluge valves are mainly used to control the flow of water or water/foam solution in fixed fire suppression, cooling or gas containment systems. Depending on the project requirements, there are several possible flow control activation options that include electric, electro-pneumatic and hydraulic on which additional features such as automatic pressure reducing and remote ON-OFF trims can be added.
The deluge valves can be manufactured in a variety of different materials such as Cast Iron, Cast Steel, Stainless Steel, Super Austenitic Stainless Steel, Duplex, Super Duplex, Hastelloy, Bronze, NAB, or Titanium.
The VD models are available with control trims made of Nickle Aluminium Bronze/ AISI 316L/ Monel K400 . UL listing, SIL 2 and SIL 3 certification from BV is available on selected valves. All valves are in line with NFPA guidelines.
